Connecting people to nature through education

Our education programs have been developed to help students make life long connections to nature and to start making choices that support conservation of wildlife and the environment.

Zoo Academy (*On hold until further notice)

This is a curriculum-based program that runs for four hours. It has a combination of in-class activities, observations and discussions at animal exhibits, games and animal encounters.

Sessions have been developed by grade to support relevant units of the Ontario curriculum, geared toward Grades 4 through 7.

Cost is $10 per child and can host up to 25 children with teachers and accompanying chaperones. If your group is more than 25, simply book more than one session.

Zoo Trek

This is a curriculum-based program that runs for two hours.  Zoo trek includes a short in-class program with an animal encounter followed by a guided tour with a trained zoo educator.

Sessions have been developed by grade to support relevant units of the Ontario curriculum, geared toward Grades 1 through 4.

Cost is $7.50 per child and can host up to 50 people, including teachers and accompanying chaperones.
