Riverview Park and Zoo has helped hundreds of students complete their education through on-the-job placements and work experience.

Education placement opportunities

We are proud to support local institutions and students with hands-on experience animal care, education, grounds keeping, business development and administration. We aim to provide valuable, rewarding and memorable experiences to students who work at Riverview Park and Zoo. Some have come to work as summer students and a few are now full-time staff.

A limited number of placements for high school and post-secondary co-op opportunities are available annually and we receive several requests each semester. For teachers and professors hoping to link their students with valuable work experience, please feel free to connect with us directly. We do have limited resources and would like to find partnerships that are valuable to all involved.
