2020 Workshops at Riverview Park and Zoo
Currently under development:
Riverview Park and Zoo's invasive species workshop invites classrooms, volunteers and community groups to first identify invasive species, like the Dog Strangler Vine, on the Park and Zoo grounds. We will hear from experts to understand and utilize provincial reporting tools. Advanced workshops will include inventory and removal of invasive plant species.
The goal of this program will be to host a volunteer team who can help to safely and sustainably remove them. Participants in these this series will become advocates to help mitigate problems and create solutions.
More details and 2020 dates coming soon. Please let us know if you or your class are interested in taking this workshop in the 2020 season.
