Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC)
The Park and Zoo is an active supporter of the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC). The Centre was originally located here in the Park and Zoo's Dobbin Building back when it first started as the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre.
Partnership
Riverview Park and Zoo's partnership with the OTCC includes the support of field research, regular provision of equipment, supplies and feed for the care of the turtles at the Centre, as well as joint educational programming.
Rescue and Release
The Park and Zoo and the OTCC work together to accept injured turtles, offer medical care and release rehabilitated turtles back into the environment.
