Adopt a Garden
Adopt a Garden is a volunteer activity where organizations, groups, or individuals "adopt" a garden on the Riverview Park and Zoo grounds.
Join our volunteer community and show off your gardening skills by helping us plant and maintain our gardens during the spring, summer and fall.
Email us or call 705-748-9301 ext. 2339.
Why Adopt a Garden? |
Businesses and organizations can also use our Adopt a Garden program as a team building activity and a way to give back to the community. Hand painted flagstones featuring the individual's or organization's name will be placed in each garden. |
What will you need? |
Some gardening tools are available on a limited basis at the Riverview Park and Zoo but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own. |
When do we start? |

How much does it cost? |
Adoption is free and is done on an annual basis! Plant purchases are up to you, but we will reimburse you to a certain amount depending on your garden choice. |

Don't have time to tend the garden but would still like to Adopt a Garden? |
You can Sponsor a Garden. Contribute a donation toward our horticultural programs. Hand painted flagstones featuring the individual's or organization's name will be placed in each garden for donations over $250. Large donations of $5,000 or more will also be recognized with placement on our donor wall. |
